Ron Helmer

Ron has a distinguished 22-year career in the U.S. Navy and experience in the technology industry.

Ron Helmer brings over 20 years of diverse experience to his role as Synetic's Chief Executive Officer. Originally from Oregon, Ron served in the US Navy, excelling in engineering, global transportation, and intelligence roles. Following his Navy service, Ron transitioned to the private sector, specializing in the sale of technology managed services and staff augmentation. In May 2004, Ron's passion for entrepreneurship led him to Synetic Technologies, where he assumed a pivotal role in steering the company towards success. His extensive background, ranging from military intelligence to technology entrepreneurship, uniquely positions Ron to drive Synetic's growth. Outside the boardroom, Ron indulges his lifelong affinity for speed, whether racing in open road races or conquering circuit tracks. Despite his fast-paced professional life, he finds joy in spending cherished moments with his wife and three daughters, creating a balanced and fulfilling life.

Todd Leach

Todd has 20+ years of delivering best-in-class customer experiences and growth.

Todd has 20+ years of delivering best-in-class customer experiences and growth. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Todd graduated from Northwestern before attending Bellevue University for his MBA. Todd has driven revenue and client retention at Fortune 1000 and 500 companies, including DST, Cerner, H&R Block and Service Management Group (SMG). In his current role as Chief Commercial Officer, Todd is responsible for overseeing and managing Synetic’s commercial strategy and operations. When he’s not actively helping clients with their IT asset needs, you can find Todd on the running trails or singing “Yellow Submarine” in his car with his granddaughter.

Born and raised in Overland Park, KS, Alex Dack serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Synetic.

Born and raised in Overland Park, KS, Alex Dack serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Synetic. With a background deeply rooted in financial management and leadership, Alex has navigated high-growth entities across diverse industries, including systems integration, distribution, CPG, and marketing/advertising. Alex assumes the crucial responsibility of overseeing the company's financial landscape, where he works closely with employees daily, striving for continuous improvement in client service. Outside the world of finance, Alex cherishes moments with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys spending his spare time immersed in nature, literature, quality family moments, and in his own words, aims to "stay out of trouble with my wife."

Josh Cowan

Originally from the Kansas City area, Josh Cowan serves as the Director of Client Success at Synetic.

Josh brings over 13 years of expertise as a Customer Success professional in the Restaurant, Retail, Healthcare, and Financial sectors. Known for his consultative approach and desire to build solutions for clients and team members, Josh leads efforts to enhance client relationships by fostering retention and driving robust growth initiatives. He leverages his experience to deliver data-driven recommendations to help clients optimize the value of their end-of-life assets and maintain the highest data security standards. Outside of work, Josh enjoys coaching soccer, teaching his kids how to cook, and enjoying coffee while spending time with his family.

Shawn Bennett

Shawn Bennett brings 15 years of IT industry experience to his role as Client Success Manager at Synetic.

He serves as the primary point of contact between clients and the company, conducting business partnership reviews, drafting service agreements, and ensuring the company exceeds our client’s service expectations. Shawn holds various industry certifications, including AWS Technical Professional and Business Professional, KnowBe4 Internet Security, Computer Security & Data Protection, and HubSpot Academy Frictionless Sales. Outside of work, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family at the parks, hiking in the woods, and traveling whenever possible.

Kris Korinek

Kris Korinek brings a remarkable 30 years of IT experience to Synetic.

Kris started his career with Gateway 2000 in 1993 and spent 24 years at Tyson Foods, Inc., where he managed and led various end-user support teams, projects, mergers, and divestitures for the last 17 years. Transitioning to Synetic Technologies in the Spring of 2021 to pursue a career in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), Kris relies on building trust, fostering relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service to clients. When he’s not working, Kris enjoys spending time with his wife of 22 years and their two children and cheering on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Phillip Stark brings over two decades of customer success know-how to his role as Client Success Manager.

With 17 years spent perfecting exceptional client experiences, Phillip is the go-to person for overseeing and managing customer programs, ensuring top-notch data security standards. Armed with a knack for service-oriented project management, Phillip thrives on tackling challenges and finding solutions that make clients happy. His commitment to delivering exceptional service is clear in his impressive track record of building strong connections with clients. Beyond the world of client service, Phillip is a dedicated parent to his three children. Embracing the joys of parenthood, you can often catch him enthusiastically chasing his kids around the yard and diving into playful activities. This blend of professional excellence and personal fulfillment showcases Phillip's down-to-earth approach to both work and life.

Oren Gamble

A Kansas City native, Oren Gamble brings 6 years of IT Asset Management experience.

He specializes in Hardware Asset Management, touching each point in the full asset lifecycle. In his current role as Sr. Account Coordinator, Oren serves as a liaison between clients and the recovery team, coordinating asset pickups and managing logistics to meet customer needs. Oren’s experience as a former Synetic client gives him a unique perspective to our client’s needs, and he enjoys collaborating with clients to craft tailored solutions that exceed their expectations. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his three sons, baking, reading, and spending time outdoors with his dog or brewing his own beer, which he’s been doing since 2011.

Nathan Wakefield

Kansas City native Nathan Wakefield brings over 8 years of experience in account and project management to his role as Account Coordinator at Synetic.

Prior to joining our team, Nathan's passion for exploring new places led him to Chicago, IL, where he served as a Business Development Manager before returning to his hometown and joining Synetic in January 2022. In his current role, Nathan oversees National and International projects for Synetic, ranging from California to New York to the UK to Japan. With additional sales experience in the Medicare industry and a background in retail, Nathan is dedicated to ensuring projects are executed flawlessly and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Outside of work, he finds joy in activities like golf, tennis, basketball, video games, and spending quality time with loved ones.

VP, Business Operations

Jeff Brooks

Jeff Brooks has dedicated his professional career to developing people and managing processes at Synetic.

Originally from St. Joseph, MO, Jeff graduated from Missouri Western State University, where he obtained his degree in Business Management. In his current role as Vice President, Business Operations, he provides strategic leadership by overseeing the downstream sales team and reporting analysts and managing product scheduling through production processes. When he’s not actively providing support for the team, you’ll find Jeff indulging in his passions for audio engineering, woodworking, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Scott Thompson
Director of Production

Scott Thompson

Prior to joining Synetic as the Director of Production, Scott Thompson was a Synetic client.

With an extensive background in Telecom, Scott has spent the past 10+ years as a Reverse Logistics Manager, maximizing investment recovery value for obsolete network assets and fostering sustainable relationships with R2-certified partners to optimize resell values. Scott also prioritized corporate social responsibilities and zero landfill objectives throughout his tenure. Scott Thompson's EPA sustainability efforts won Sprint the Sustainable Material Management Electronics Challenge Award, achieving the highest "Gold Tier" recognition for five of six years from 2014 through 2019. His Reverse Logistics team's data collection made Sprint the exclusive wireless carrier to receive this accolade, showcasing exceptional leadership and innovation in electronics life-cycle sustainability. Scott and his family are passionate Oklahoma Sooner fans outside the professional arena, holding football season tickets for nearly 25 years. Family holds a significant place in Scott's heart, particularly emphasizing spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Phil Serrone

With a diverse background spanning contracting and the IT industry, Kansas City native Phillip Serrone brings over two decades of expertise to his role as Director of Operations at Synetic.

Starting in electrical contracting, Phillip's journey evolved from a warehouse position to Project Manager over ten years. Seeking new challenges, Phillip seamlessly transitioned into the IT sector, joining Apple as an Apple Certified Mac Technician. Over nearly five years, he played a crucial role in expanding Apple's footprint nationwide, contributing to the opening of new stores. The culture of innovation and commitment at Apple fueled Phillip's dedication to project success. After meeting a Synetic employee who was seeking help with AirPods, Phillip was recruited to join Synetic’s team to establish and develop the Apple Tech Center. Now the Director of Operations, he leads and drives operational success, overseeing team management, recovery, account coordination, project and vendor management, logistics, and facility operations. He is energized by technology's evolution and champions efforts to minimize its environmental impact, keeping technology out of landfills. A devoted father of three, Phillip enjoys time with family and cheering his kids on while attending their activities.

In his current role, he manages Apple-related services, directs company-wide repairs, and leads the professional services and device deployment divisions. Certified as an Apple Technician and Jamf Technician, Matt's commitment aligns with Synetic's high standards. Drawn by the opportunity to provide unique support in evolving technology, Matt enjoys the challenge of learning new things. In his spare time, Matt enjoys walks with his family, coffee on the porch, and has a profound love of soccer.

Bringing over 15 years of technology experience, he supports K12 institutions and non-profit clients. Joe is an expert in executing Google Health and Security Audits, providing unmatched Google Premium Support, Managed Services, and related training. Driven by a passion for education inherited from his parents, Joe empowers educators and learners through technology. His expertise is recognized through his leadership of the 2023 Google for Education Product Training webinar series and his team's 2024 Google for Education Partner Training Leadership award. Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids and hitting the golf course.

Auston is originally from Northern Michigan and prior to joining our team at Synetic Technologies, he played a key role at Cerner (Now Oracle Health), delivering consumer facing solutions in Population Health and driving new business development for CommunityWorks. Leveraging his International Business degree from Northwood University, Auston has spent his career developing strong client-partner relationships and has gained critical experience driving internal operation initiatives. In his current role, Auston formulates tailored proposals in Data Security & Compliance, Environmental Responsibility, Asset Value Recovery, and Professional Services. Outside of work, Auston is a movie enthusiast who is always looking for new recommendations.

Before his tenure at Synetic, Justin displayed his leadership skills as a college baseball coach at Mount Mercy University. Drawn to Synetic by the prospect of working for a rapidly growing and reputable company, Justin witnessed the firm's expansion from 8 to over 100 employees since his initial joining. When it comes to IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), Justin understands the importance of data security in safeguarding a company's brand. A former college baseball player and coach, Justin continues to share his passion for sports by coaching his 12-year-old son's team and engaging in ice hockey in the men's league. In his spare time, Justin finds joy in family moments, attending his kids' sporting events, and taking leisurely walks with their dogs.

Heidi joined Synetic early on and managed the office as Synetic underwent rapid growth. With a background deeply rooted in financial management, she has become an increasingly integral part of the team. Heidi's connection with Synetic dates to her time in the Navy Reserves, where she met CEO Ron Helmer, laying the foundation for a longstanding professional collaboration. Her commitment to Synetic's success is underscored by her wealth of experience and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
